The Coffee Pot opened in May, 2004 and has grown as Merlin's favorite coffee, social and Wi-Fi hotspot ever since. Eric's goal was a friendly gathering place where the locals could meet regularly and visitors could experience warm Oregon hospitality while enjoying great products and service. Our baristas are young, friendly and professional -- and for many this has been their first job. We have seen their confidence grow as they learn the skills required to give the clean, friendly, quality service that The Coffee Pot is known for. We have seen some graduate from high school, others studying in college, and others get married. Some come back each summer to work when business swells due to the heavy tourist traffic. Our growing ranks of "regulars" support us year-round, whether by grabbing that first cup of coffee in the morning at the drive-thru, weekly group meetings indoors, catching up on business or research on our free WiFi, or just sitting and visiting with a friend or spouse enjoying the best coffee and smoothies in the county! Plans are in the works to expand the kitchen in order to add to our menu of sweets, breakfast items, soups, wraps, and sandwiches. With the proposed developments for the Merlin area, including a Jack Nicklaus golf course slated to open in 2008, The Coffee Pot promises to become the favorite coffee spot for more and more patrons. |
